Rave To Save

Client: Desperados

Desperados greatly values diversity and acceptance. To build on their mission to promote diversity and acceptance on international dancefloors, Desperados challenged us to create an innovative experience that would give their core audience a new, thrilling, and immersive experience entirely grounded in purpose.

Dance creates an equal stage. It has the unique power to bring people of all backgrounds together, where differences are left off the dance floor. With this as our inspiration we set out to empower this audience to use dance as a tool for change. For the audience to come together, be their best selves and give back at the same time. A universal party, unlike any other that embodied how the world is better when we dance together. We created a gamified party experience. We developed the pedometer-driven, ‘Rave to Save’ app – a dance driven, fundraising platform. Integrated with branded LED wristbands, the app captured individual data by counting each individual step and translating it into a monetary donation for inclusive charities. The more the crowd danced, the more money raised. Working in collaboration with Elrow and Live nations, we seamlessly integrated our campaign into festivals and club nights across Europe. Ensuring there was a diverse line-up at each event with a higher percentage of female DJs and LGBTQ+ performers. The campaign achieved some incredible, mind-blowing results, totaling 14,386,971,00 dance steps, translating into an incredible €137,312,65 raised for inclusive charities including Women in Music and Stonewall.
