One Last Adventure

Bearded Kitten

Client: Netflix

Netflix partnered with Bearded Kitten to deliver One Last Adventure, a free ticketed fan activation celebrating Stranger Things' final series at Trinity Buoy Wharf, London, on 20 December 2024.

The hybrid indoor-outdoor venue transformed the waterfront into physical Hawkins. Exterior streets, courtyards and open spaces connected indoor sets, letting guests move freely between six zones. Outdoor areas provided scale and atmosphere - darkness, distance and weather heightened realism - while interior sets delivered close-up detail and interaction. Tens of thousands of fans registered within hours through a puzzle-led code hunt. 2,500 guests attended four sold-out sessions, arriving by boat and stepping straight into Mulberry Street - a full townscape with Surfer Boy Pizza, Hawkins Police Station and working Schwinn bikes. Major outdoor moments included the WSQK Radio broadcast van, the MAC-Z military border with sweeping searchlights and rolling fog, and the waterfront evacuation finale using synchronised lighting, audio, RFID wristbands. Hologauze projection technology and live effects. Sustainability ran throughout: props and set pieces repurposed from previous events, plant-based catering, recycled print materials, and post-event donation of salvageable build through Event Cycle. The activation hit every target. Near 100% attendance, mass organic social content, and 136k+ likes on Netflix's first event post. Brief to delivery in 30 days, it proved that outdoor space can turn immersion into something memorable.
