Client: Anthropy

Anthropy was a ‘first’. It was a magical, poignant meetings of minds that will deliver tangible change.

Enduring a turbulent and unprecedented few years post Covid-19, Brexit, and mid cost of living crises, Britain needed something new, something big to genuinely drive change and bring people together. Delivering the largest crowd sourced agenda the UK has ever seen, Anthropy was born. Senior leaders and influential individuals were encouraged to attend for 3 days and commit to finding new connections and new solutions to take this country forward. For the first time, the renowned Eden Project in Cornwall closed its doors to the public and welcomed 1,000 ‘Anthropists’ to ideate, debate and collaborate. Notable attendees included Sadiq Kahn, Rachael Reeves, Sir Tim Smit, Piers Linney, Kamal Ahmed, Mary Portas, Lord Hastings, Dame Julia Cleverdon, Rita Clifton CBE, Sir Anthony Seldon, Annamarie Phelps CBE, Darcey Bussell, and Rory Sutherland, to name just a few. Senior stakeholders of major organisations attended, including EY, Omnicom, Natwest, Unilever, KPMG, Greggs, Timpsons, Schneider Electric, Environment Agency, Ipsos, Page Group, Volvo, Ella’s Kitchen and many others. Young people, charities and renowned youth partners attended, including Youth Futures and One Young World. 34 sponsors, 250 agenda setters and 100 volunteers worked together to bring John O’Brien’s Anthropy vision to life, creating a uniquely uplifting experience which united 1,000 leaders, young and old, from all walks of life. We saw tears, laughter and deafening applause - the direct result of one almighty collaboration.
