The Virgin TV 360 Takeover was a virtual product launch event held to celebrate Virgin Media's new TV platform - Virgin TV 360.
The concept used 'real life’ use cases to demonstrate how Virgin TV 360 fits within the household, showcasing the new features and user benefits. The concept centred around a mock TV show that featured a family named 'The Smiths' who trialled the new service during the course of a week.
Attendees joined the event through a bespoke built platform that blended HD broadcast with real time audience engagement, which literally bought the attendees on screen and into the action. Each attendee received an 'event pack' which included items to aid their experience. Attendees had the opportunity to win a prize through a competition called Find the Golden Remote which was created to drive engagement from the start to end of the launch event. This unique concept launched Virgin TV 360 to media in an engaging way and was a resounding success for the team at Virgin Media.
