The ibis Music programme in partnership with Spotify and Sony Music is a programme designed to provide unforgettable live music experiences for fans and artists and create ‘unexpected connections’, as well as giving up-and-coming musicians true support in developing their fledgling careers. Not just a stage for live performances in hotels, ibis Music gives artists real development opportunities, pairing them with established talent as mentors and giving them a chance to forge connections with other like-minded artists.
In a truly global activation, ibis hosted 44 in-hotel gigs across 17 countries featuring the hottest emerging talent brought to you by the magic of Spotify. The programme culminated at Sziget Festival in Budapest with the chance for 9 of our up-and-coming talents to experience ibis Hotels’ hospitality and play one of the main stages at one of the biggest festivals in the world.
The programme was amplified through a comprehensive integrated campaign utilising over 100 unique assets. A Spotify advertising campaign drove awareness, online films were created including live performances and artist mentoring sessions to drive engagement alongside multiple social campaigns all driving to a dedicated content hub, ibis-music.com. Ibis Music’s worldwide effort brought the brand’s new passion point, music, directly to a global audience through a myriad of channels.
